Trapeza is a mountainous village of Konitsa and it is built at an altitude of 720m. It is located next to the National Road of Kozani-Ioannina and it is southwest of Sarantaporos river. It is 73 km North of Ioannina and 11 km away from Konitsa.
In the past, the village was called Vranista. Trapeza is part of Mastorochoria villages. In the past, the inhabitants were stone craftsmen. They were organized in working groups and traveled for work to the Balkans, North Africa and Middle East. Samples of their work can still be seen in the village.
Today, Trapeza is a small settlement surrounded by flat meadows with few inhabitants who are involved in domestic agriculture and livestock farming.
Walking through the village, you will be impressed by the elaborate houses made of dry stone. Getting out of the village, you will find several chapels such as Prophet Elias, Agios Kirikos, Agios Athanasios and Agios Ioannis.
